Recently, Counter Kicks had the privilege of visiting Reebok Headquarters in Canton, MA and met with Paul Litchfield, Reebok Vice President of Advanced Concepts and Reebok Pump creator. A phenomenal meeting, Mr. Litchfield personally gave Counter Kicks a behind-the-scenes look at some old-school samples and new-school developments (all very hush-hush for the moment, of course).

Today, we bring you a select handful of photos from our visit, including 3 never-before-seen original Reebok Pump prototypes.

Jordan Brand has hooked up the California Golden Bears with two special make-up Jordan Icons models to wear through NCAA tournament season. While Nike Basketball is outfitting its college sponsored teams in the Nike Hyperdunk, Jordan Brand is positioning the new Jordan Icons model as its big tournament shoe. Here we take a look at a White/Navy based colorway for Georgetown University. The shoe prominently features the Hoyas’ “G” logo on the lateral sides of the shoes and will be worn by the team as they take on Marquette (who have their own special make-up “MU” Jordan Icons) in the Big East Tournament semifinals. Live shots of new Nike Basketball silhouettes and colorways for the coming summer and fall seasons were captured last month in Dallas at NBA All-Star weekend by a member on NikeTalk. A new colorway in the Nike Air Max 3 is currently arriving at House of Hoops locations. The rebranded and rebadged shoe, formerly known as the Nike Air Garnett 3, was Kevin Garnett’s former signature shoe while he was a Nike athlete. Foot Locker is advising customers to call their local House of Hoops location in advance to confirm stock in the White/Metallic Gold shoe has arrived. While the Connecticut Huskies didn’t quite get past the St. John’s Red Storm on Tuesday, suffering a 73-51 loss, they did get get to wear these special make-up Nike Hyperdunk shoes. The Blue/White styled model features a gradient fade effect on the Flywire upper panel as seen on other recent college Hyperdunks along with the school’s “UC” logo on the tongue. The White/Varsity Red/Black style features an alternate sockliner graphic reading “W3LCOME HOME” which was originally seen as a Wade branded marketing slogan last year when Wade made the switch from Converse to Jordan Brand. The Nike Trainer SC 2010 in a special make-up Manny Pacquiao edition is currently hitting retail accounts. The limited edition shoe is styled in the colors of the Philippines national flag and features Pacquiao’s “MP” logo on the tongue and “PAC” “MAN” embroidered at the heels. The package comes complete with multiple laces and a special edition red shoe box. Pacquiao takes on Joshua Clottey tomorrow in a pay-per-view event live from Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX. Last night in the Big 12 Tournament, the Texas Longhorns fell to the Baylor Bears in a 86-67 loss. The Longhorns’ players wore these special make-up Nike Hyperdunks in team colors of Burnt Orange and White. The Nike Air Total Max Uptempo has been making a recent return with original colorways currently available for sale and new styles hitting retail in June. Today, we have some clear photos of a Black/Varsity Red style in the shoe courtesy of Sneakerhead.com. The shoe features a black colored base with a mix of nubuck and leather material choices on the upper. Varsity red hits are seen on the outsole, full-length Air Max unit, medial and lateral Swoosh logos, tongue, and heel pull tab. A previously unseen colorway in the Air Jordan 2010 has surfaced online. This Black/Flint Grey/Varsity Red style features a black forefoot cover and tongue, flint grey on the midsole and upper paneling, and a translucent rubber outsole giving full view of the varsity red-colored Zoom Air unit underfoot. Reebok’s brand new “ZigTech” footwear line is officially available for purchase today. The first model in the line is the Reebok Zig Pulse and comes in six men’s colorways including Neon Yellow/Black/Neon Cherry/White, White/Pure Silver/Neon Orange, Echo Blue/Ultramarine/Kiwi Green/White, Black/Silver/Red, Navy/Orange, and Black/Comet Yellow/Silver. ZigTech is a new tooling technology designed to transfer energy from heel strike through the length of the shoe to propel the wearer forward while reducing wear and tear on leg muscles, according to Reebok. Created as part of a St. Patrick’s Day pack to commemorate the Irish holiday next Wednesday is this adidas TS Supernatural Creator model. Much like the Supernatural Commander model we just previewed, the shoe comes dressed in white and green with gold accenting. Last week we previewed images of the Future Sole edition in the Jordan Melo M6 here designed by high schooler Austin Jermacans. After being worn in-game by Carmelo Anthony, the shoes now find its way onto the feet of the Syracuse University men’s basketball team as they enter the Big East Tournament tonight.
