A new Air Jordan VI model in Detroit Pistons team colors is coming to retail this April. The Black/True Blue/Varsity Red styled shoe features a material mix of suede and patent leather on the upper, a translucent rubber outsole, and doses of grey on the midsole, tongue, and heel spoiler. The Air Jordan VI Retro Premium “Motorsports” edition officially goes on sale Saturday at $175 retail. We received special word from Eastbay that the online retailer will in fact be carrying a small allotment of pairs available for purchase at 11PM Central tonight on this order page. Eastbay is allowing customers to order only 2 pairs maximum. Anyone checking out with more than 2 pairs will have the entire order completely canceled. More images of the Air Jordan VI Retro “Detroit Pistons” colorway have recently appeared. This colorway “pays tribute” to the Detroit Pistons, the team that Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls eliminated in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals on their way to their first championship run. The shoe features a black color base with patent leather panels and suede overlays. Grey is used on the tongue and heel pull tab and other parts of the shoe utilize blue and red accenting. The White/Black colorway shoe features a combination leather and suede upper with a semi-translucent outsole and white speckling on the midsole and rear heel “spoiler”.
