We recently showed you previews of the Lo-Qi Downtime by And1 here. Following up the look at the Black/Black-Silver model is another brief shot of the same colorway from a different angle today. The shoe is part of And1’s new “Lo-Qi” (pronounced LOW-KEY) product segmentation for pre/post game footwear. And1 originally pioneered this category last decade with the And1 Tochillin that went on to become the brand’s best selling footwear model in the history of the company. The Lo-Qi Downtime officially releases May 1st.

The And1 Tai Chi TGR is the basketball company’s updated take on the Tai Chi silhouette with “TGR” in reference to 2010 being the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese calendar. The shoe features the same dual colored styling as the original Tai Chi with a heavily perforated medial side and a herringbone outsole design. Steve Blake has been wearing a low cut version in the shoe as we recently showed here. No word yet on a U.S. release of the Tai Chi TGR. Continue reading for more detailed images of the shoe.

We gave you a look at the Lo-Qi Downtime by And1 in multiple colorways a few days ago here. Today we have another brief look at the shoe in the Black/Black-Silver style. The new silhouette is an updated take on a pre/post game shoe which And1 pioneered earlier in the last decade with the Tochillin. And1 is introducing a new footwear line segment and silhouette this spring with the And1 Lo-Qi Downtime. The model is an updated “spin on a pre and post game shoe” which And1 Executive Director Rob Purvy dropped word about last November in our in-depth interview here. The Lo-Qi line aims to pay homage to the original off-court And1 Tochillin which became the best selling footwear model in And1 history. The Lo-Qi Downtime officially drops May 1st and comes initially in Royal/Royal-White, White/White-Red, Black/Silver-White, and Black/Black-Silver colorways. And1’s brand new Advance Mid model hits retail this month. This performance basketball silhouette features a synthetic leather upper, overlasted midsole, high-abrasion herringbone outsole, and a 270 degree L2G (Low 2 Ground) cushioning unit which is a pinned air bag technology. Foot Locker and And1 have teamed up to create a brief mini-site on the shoe here which officially releases at Foot Locker accounts on February 15th. A low-cut version of the Tai Chi TGR, the muted red uppers come prepared for both on-court battles and off-court leisurely wear. Currently featured as SLAM’s “Kick of the Day”, the shoes will hit retail in Spring 2011.
