Jordan Brand has created special make-up colorways in the Jordan 16.5 and Jordan Hallowed Ground for the University of California-Berkeley, much like the Georgetown Hoyas 16.5 and Hallowed Ground pairs. The Golden Bears shoes feature a White base with Yale Blue and California Gold team color accents. No word yet on any official release. We last showed you a Georgetown University special make-up shoe in December with the Jordan 16.5. Today, we exhibit two new player exclusive styles for the Hoyas team: the Jordan Hallowed Ground and Jordan Ol’ School III. Both shoes feature a white base with Georgetown’s blue and gray color scheme along with the school’s “G” logo badging on the uppers. Additionally seen on the Jordan Ol’ School III is the use of the Hoyas’ signature kente cloth pattern on the midsole, derived from the Akan people of Ghana. Jordan Brand has unveiled a set of player exclusive colorways for Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy – home to former student-athletes such as Carmelo Anthony, Jerry Stackhouse, and current SLAM coverboy Brandon Jennings, among others. The featured line-up includes “OAK HILL” branded Jordan Melo M6, Jordan Icons, Jordan Hallowed Ground (which we previewed last September here), and the Jordan 16.5. Previewed online a few months ago, this Jordan Hallowed Ground special make-up for Rip Hamilton finally has a release date: this Saturday, December 19th, exclusively at Foot Locker’s House of Hoops. The White/Varsity Red/Varsity Royal style features a mix of nubuck, patent, and leather overlays on the upper along with a solid rubber outsole with strips of translucent rubber wedged in-between. Last month, Dwyane Wade held a summit with his numerous endorsement partners to formulate his marketing game plan for the current season. The Florida Sun Sentinel just posted a solid interview with Wade, asking him about his thoughts on the transfer within the Nike, Inc. organization from Converse to Jordan Brand, what shoes he’ll be wearing this NBA season, and whether or not he’ll have his own signature shoe at Jordan Brand (Flash: Wade deflects, but you can bank it’s already in the works…). A new style of Jordan Brand’s “Hallowed Ground” sneaker has arrived in this Black/Volt colorway. The shoe features a black nubuck upper with a “Volt” neon yellow gradient fade on the midsole complete with black splatter paint speckled across the heel. Hitting this Fall will be a handful of Jordan Hallowed Ground special make-ups, including this style colored up for Oak Hill Academy, which was attended by Jordan Brand’s Carmelo Anthony, as well as Jerry Stackhouse and Brandon Jennings among others. The shoe features a splatter paint red to black gradient midsole, constrast stitching in varsity-red, and a suede upper. “OAK HILL” is seen on the tongue while the sockliner spotlights the school’s “Warrior” mascot seen with a basketball.
