Hasheem Thabeet Sometimes Wears Li-Ning

Normally, the feet of Memphis Grizzlies player Hasheem Thabeet doesn’t conjure up much for public discussion but we received the heads up from Playmaker Mobile that the 7-foot-3-inch center wore the Black/Charcoal/Red Air Jordan VII’s this past NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas. The reason why that may be slightly interesting is that Thabeet signed a three-year endorsement deal with Li-Ning just a few months ago in October 2009. From a brief check of recent NBA games, we’ve also spotted Thabeet wearing the Jordan 60+ “Laney H.S.” model alternately with a Grizzlies team colored Li-Ning shoe. The exact terms of Thabeet’s Li-Ning footwear deal are unknown but we’ll update with any developments.
