While sneakerheads have their eyes set on Wednesday’s re-launch of the Air Jordan XI “Space Jam”, the next highly anticipated bring back out of Jordan Brand to kick off the new year will be the Air Jordan VI Retro. A take off on the Black/Infrared VI, this 2010 style has been slightly altered with a full body overlay of nubuck along with a Varsity Red color tweak replacing the original bright Infrared color palette. Originally conceived by Nike Designer Tinker Hatfield as the “Batboot” worn by Michael Keaton in 1989’s “Batman”, Hatfield used that and the Air Jordan V design foundation to build and add-on to the Air Jordan VI platform, which also became the first in the signature line to feature a clean-toe look at the request of Michael Jordan. Look for the Air Jordan VI Black/Varsity-Red in 2010.
