Live shots of new Nike Basketball silhouettes and colorways for the coming summer and fall seasons were captured last month in Dallas at NBA All-Star weekend by a member on NikeTalk. Included in the photo round up are a few new colorways of the highly perforated Nike Hyperfuse, upcoming Nike Zoom Soldier IV, Nike Hyperdunk 2010, Penny-inspired Nike Air Max Wavy, and a White/Silver shoe with Nike Shox tooling seen inside the sample duffle bag at the end. Among the plethora of Zoom Kobe V colorways comes one made in the traditional team colors of the Duke University Blue Devils. This Black/Varsity Blue version of the shoe features a translucent outsole and a cracked marble design on the flywire upper panels, seen previously in the Zoom Kobe V “Chaos” colorway. Nike Basketball has released several promotional posters featuring Kobe Bryant in many classic Bruce Lee poses in honor of the Zoom Kobe V release this Saturday at House of Hoops. The Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee” edition comes dressed in bright yellow and black, a homage to the tracksuit the famed martial artist wore in the 1978 film “The Game of Death“. Four red claw lines are visible on the lateral sides of each shoe, reminiscent of the scars Bruce Lee attained while fighting his arch nemesis Han in the movie. With the Nike Air Max Hyperize dropping later this summer, detailed photos have emerged in a White/Green/Varsity Maize colorway. The shoe features the same upper design as the Nike Hyperize but replaces the Zoom Air/LunarLite cushioning setup in the original with the recently touted basketball-specific 360 Air Max unit as found in the Air Max LeBron VII. Also seen on the shoe is a speckled midsole, 3M reflective applications on the shoe laces, and an alternate rubber outsole design. The carbon fiber shank previously found underfoot in the Hyperize appears to be removed in the Air Max version. Confirmed price and release date to come. More detailed photos of the Nike KD2 “All Star” Edition have been released. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder is set to make his first appearance on the Western Conference roster in the upcoming NBA All Star Game in Dallas, TX and Nike has outfitted the high scoring forward with a player exclusive colorway of his signature shoe. The style features a translucent rubber outsole, partial 3M reflective overlay on the upper, and are currently available from online retailer kix-files. Nike will be releasing an Air Pippen I Retro in a white/black/metallic silver colorway after their recent string of Pippen hybrids like the Nike Zoom Flip’N, and the Nike Max A Lot which will be dropping this summer. The classic shoe found on the feet of former Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen appears to feature all the same distinct characteristics found in the original version back in 1997, including a full-length max air cushioning unit, the familiar zig-zag pattern on the uppers, and the Air Pippen logo on the tongue and the heel. We last reported on new Nike Air Max LeBron VII colorways with a Christ the King special make-up in White/ Maroon/Gold. Now, images have shown up in a University of Akron player exclusive Air Max Lebron VII, dressed up in a Navy/ Gold-White colorway. Patent leather is utilized on the rand, with nubuck trim to surround the Flywire panel. Gold accents adorn the upper along with a gold colored 360 Air Max unit. With a stack of new colorways being debuted this season for the Nike Air Max LeBron VII, we had yet to preview images of LeBron’s NBA All-Star game shoe - until now. This full body teal based style with black secondary color hits syncs up with the team colors of the NBA All-Star 2010 host city Dallas Mavericks and should be an easy style to spot on television screens. Stitched onto the insole is a shield insignia with stylized stars, basketball logo, and text reading: “EASTERN CONFERENCE“, “EAST“, “DALLAS TEXAS” AND “2010“.
